Orienteering Members
FVO orienteering membership requires affiliation to both the Scottish and British orienteering governing bodies – ie the Scottish Orienteering Association (SOA) and British Orienteering Federation (BOF) respectively
BOF membership has two categories – National BOF Membership (NBM) and Local BOF Membership (LBM). Unless you either (i) orienteer extensively in England, or (ii) wish to take part in the British Championships – we recommend the cheaper LBM membership.
New orienteering members
Members new to orienteering (ie not those just transferring from another club) can have SOA and LBM membership free for the first year.
Second Club members
Orienteers who are joining FVO as a second club, and already have appropriate governing body membership – need only join FVO.
Social Members
Social members need only join FVO. It is no longer possible to join FVO and the SOA (without joingin BOF).
However, those social members who wish to keep up with all the news of Scottish Orienteering, can have for £10.00 per year a subscription to the SOA magazine “Score”. Score is published every two months.
