FVO Permanent Courses

Gartmorn Dam

Our new permanent course at Gartmorn Dam has now been installed and was opened on 16th January by St Mungo's Primary School.

Try a Permanent Orienteering Course

A permanent orienteering course is a great way to try orienteering.

You can when you like, individually, with friends in a group, or with the family. Take your time to figure out the map, or use them to hone your techniques. The choice is yours.

Each course comes with a preprinted map showing the control locations. The controls are typically sturdy wooden posts identified with a code and an orienteering logo on it.

Opening Plean POC

Louise Longhurst and Mandy Cook (Stirling Countryside Rangers) opened FVO's Plean Orienteering course with help from East Plean Primary school on the 9th June 2006. The posts are dual purpose and also serve to mark a bio-diversity with various wildlife symbols.
