Local event
Local events are competitive but low key and in the 'localised' area, often on a Wednesday evening or a weekend morning. Try O events are local events tailored to anyone new to the sport, with coaches on hand for advice and tips. Open to all ages, abilities and fitness levels, learn to use a map and compass to navigate round short courses.
Training events are non-competitive and used for training and coaching. These are aimed at members of the club, but non-members and newcomers are also welcome. Social events are non-orienteering activities, with the annual highlight being our Awards Evening and ceilidh!
Regional events attract participants from around the local region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, and Major events are large competitions such as a British Championships or the JK.

Directions & Parking
Please park to the north of Annfield Drive, so as not to be in the competition area. There is parking at Linden Avenue car park and Stirling Islamic Centre, both around 400m north of assembly on Burghmuir Road.

Maps are double-sided, but each side has only one course on it - ensure you're running on the correct course.
Course Information
There are three courses, and your entry entitles you to two runs, either Short and Medium, or Medium and Long (but you can elect to run once only!)

While we can't accommodate the Knockout Sprint that was originally planned, due to a lack of capacity, there may be an opportunity for head-to-head racing if there's a demand.

Facilities
Nearest public toilets are at The Thistles Shopping Centre.
Safety Notes
While the Short course is on residential streets with no through traffic, there may still be vehicles moving slowly around the neighbourhood. Courses may be examined in advance to ascertain whether or not parents feel shadowing is required. The Medium and Long courses cross one road with through traffic, and it's recommended that u16s are shadowed, or at least observed crossing the road, on these courses.

No dogs on courses please.
