FVO is Champion Club
Forth Valley Orienteers' sterling team performance at the recent Scottish Championships has brought more honours, as the club was rewarded with the Scottish Inter-Club Championship trophy for a third successive year.
The inter-club title recognises excellence across a range of courses, and with FVO taking top spot in seven of the 17 courses competed for at the Scottish Championships, there was a clear statement of intent to retain the title once again.
An aggregate score of 1194 points from the best 12 athletes was sufficient to beat off the challenge of MAROC by eight points, with Moravian in 3rd spot on 1169. Every scorer was a championship medalist, and such was the overall dominance that several class champions were not considered in the reckoning.
The daring dozen whose performances contributed to the team total were;
