The Forth Valley Wednesday Evening League came to a dramatic conclusion at Laigh Hills, Dunblane, with six of the eight titles being won on the final night of the series.

he Green Men's champ is Alexander Hunt, who claimed 384 points from 400, and, although it's his first class win since Yellow in 2018, he does retain his Best Junior title. James Edward moved into 2nd place at the death (378) ahead of Dominic Edward (370).

Esme Finch led the Green women's classification from the first week, but Hannah Inman gunned her down in the last race to take the win with 311 points. and she also takes away the Top Junior award, ending Scarlett Kelly's four year dominance of the trophy. Esme was a very creditable 2nd (252), and Alice McDaid was 3rd (228).

Remi McMurtry moved up on the final week to win the Short Green men's title (370) and deny Martin Dean. who had led for much of the season, the win (352). Ruaridh Nairn started the campaign on Orange, but quickly moved into the more technical class and was 3rd (329).

The Short Green women's title was in the balance until the final week, but Natasha Conway didn't go, and remained in 2nd (272). Sophie Edward swapped her Orange trophy from last year for the Short Green one with 315 points, and Sue Burnes was 3rd (255).

There was another takeaway on Orange, where Callum Sweenie (469) got enough points with his final week win to repel Ethan Baikie (443), while Leo Lockyer was 3rd (390).

None of the leading Orange girls was out on the final week and Catriona Downie emerged top (272) on prior success, from Lucy Finch (220), while Aayla Tijhuis moved back from Short Green in the final weeks to gather 139 points for 3rd.

The battle for the Yellow girls crown was epic from start to finish, as the leading pair won five of the nine races, and first-year athlete Zoe McDonald emerged top with 494 points, taking the trophy away from Aurora Lockyer (486) after a three year ownership for Aurora. Freya McLennan improved week on week and was 3rd (315), while the Yellow boys champ is Oscar Baikie, who gained 418 points to establish a significant lead over Anton Skeffington (148) and Simon Downie (129) albeit both only raced twice.
