Junior Colour Standards
One of the highlights of the annual awards evening is the presentation of colour standard certificates to junior athletes, in recognition of their achievements at events
Colour standards are earned by completing a course, either solo or with a shadower (in the case of younger athletes). Gold standard is a result within 125% of the course winning time, Silver standard is to within 150% and Bronze standard is twice the winner's time. Three runs have to be recorded at a colour standard to win the certificate. All FVO events (Local, Night, Urban and WEE) earn consideration, as well as non-FVO events, such as SOLs and national championships, where there are more than three FVO athletes competing.
