Three Seconds from Glory
After 20 races in three different countries, featuring nearly 200 of the UK's best orienteers, the destination of the overall Home International series was decided by three seconds, as England did just enough to win the Junior Home International in South Wales.
Vets Win by a Whisker
Scotland scored a remarkable come-from-behind victory at Loch Ard to win the Veteran Home International by the narrowest of margins and end 11 years of England dominance in the event.

The young stars of Scotland extended their winning record in the Junior Inter-Regional Championships to 14 years as they carved out an eventual win over Yorkshire & Humberside over two days in the Lake District.
Relay Good Race!
Forth Valley Orienteers enjoyed a unique relay event in Falkirk, with the third staging of the Ted Finch Relay in Callendar Park
Compass Sport Silver (again!)
A sterling team effort by the North Sea in Cleveland came up just short, as Forth Valley Orienteers finished in silver medal position in the final of the British Club Championship for the Compass Sport Cup, by just five points, for a 5th consecutive year.
Light and Magic in Midlothian SOL
There was a phenomenal level of local success at the third Scottish League race of the year in Midlothian, as East Lothian Orienteers cracked out a brand-new area at Hartside with a large field in attendance, and FVO placed athletes on nine of the 13 course podiums.
Medals, Medals everywhere!
The 2025 championship season has been a record one for FVO athletes, who have claimed more than 200 medals across the series, from 64 different competitors.
Sprint Stars Sparkle
Four medals at the British Sprint Championships in East Anglia, two of them golds, brought to a fantastic end the major championship season for Forth Valley Orienteers, with new record hauls of medals across the board.
All White on the Night
A small FVO party was in imperious form at a major event in the north of England where they claimed four individual race titles over the bank holiday weekend.
Masters of the World
A large local contingent was in action at the World Masters Championship in Catalonia, and there were a number of excellent performances from FVO athletes, including a pair of podium finishes in the forest races.
GB Calls on FVO Quintet
At least five local orienteers will be involved in the GB teams for the late summer international races, after the final selection event in Livingston.
The Joy of Six
FVO athletes were in excellent form at the largest multi-day orienteering event in the UK as they won 12 medals including two overall titles at the Scottish Six Days event on Royal Deeside.
Lighting a Fire
Local orienteers lit a fire in a major holiday event in a brand-new area, with three amongst the overall medals and several more taking stage wins at the Coasts & Island festival in Shetland.
Solid from Scarlett
Forth Valley Orienteers youngster Scarlett Kelly was the latest local star to be involved in international action, and turned in a trio of solid races at the European Youth Championships in Czechia.
