Tom Ryan 1991-2013

Some of you may already have heard the sad and shocking news of the death this week of Tom Ryan at just 22 years old. Tom was a much-valued club member of Forth Valley over the past four years, and will be hugely missed - our thoughts are very much with his family for their loss.

FVO Dinner Dance7-11.30pm

There are still tickets available for this year's Dinner dance which is on Saturday 16th November in the Victoria Halls, Dunblane. Autumn Plans

Gareth West Highland Way Run 2013

Congratulations to Gareth for becoming the oldest competitor to complete the West Highland Way Race in an outstanding time of 26:15:13. The day (starting at 01:00 on Saturday) had very mixed weather but at least there was not too much chance of heat exhaustion.

Caroline Smilie 1932-2013

Caroline Smillie died in Stirling Community hospital on Thursday 2nd May 2013 aged 81 years. Caroline had suffered a series of strokes since last Christmas.

Goddard Defends British Middle Distance Title

There were some typically excellent performances from FVO at the British Middle Distance Championships at Stanton Moor on 21 April. Roger Goddard successfully defended his M35 title whilst Hazel Dean was the victor in her W50 class.
