FVO Score Big at Palacerigg
Forth Valley Orienteers' athletes added another four national titles to the trophy collection at the Scottish Score Championships in Cumbernauld's Palacerigg Country Park.
Club Championships Bring Joy for All
Nearly 100 orienteers competed in the 2016 FVO Club Championships, at Mine Woods, Bridge of Allan, and there were a string of fine performances to round off a successful season for local athletes.
Club Champs this weekend
All roads lead to Bridge of Allan on Saturday (19th) as FVO hosts its Club Championships at Mine Woods. 2015 Open champions Fanni Gyurko and Graham Gristwood have taken on planning and organisational duties this time, and won't be competing, opening up the field for new champions this time around.

We've Won the League (again, in some cases!)
There is a distinctly Blue and Yellow flavour to the final Compass Sport Scottish Orienteering League tables. FVO has 12 athletes in top position in the Age Group tables, and a further 16 in top three spots, while the Colour Class tables have 15 athletes in top ten positions.
Wet and Wild at the OMM
Two days of heavy rain and mist didn't deter the competitors, including four FVO-ers, at the 48th Original Mountain Marathon in Glentrool, Galloway and there was podium success for the local lads.
West is Best at SIA Relays
West of Scotland, with a prominent input from FVO youngsters, won the JIA Relays at Culbin yesterday. Compass Sport Coup for FVO
Forth Valley Orienteers sped to success in the 2016 Compass Sport Cup final in Tankersley, South Yorkshire, defending the UK's premier prize for club teams. And the victory was all the sweeter in that it was scored on the home patch of perennial Compass Sport challengers, South Yorkshire Orienteers.
Scotland Steal Home in SHI
Scotland won a dramatic single point victory in the 2016 Senior Home International, with significant input from FVO athletes. Clyde's Alasdair MacLeod shrugged off the injury that had forced him out of the individual event the previous day to hold off Jonathan Crickmore in the last leg of the relay
