First Championship Titles of 2014
Forth Valley orienteers started the year well at the first Championship event of 2014 - the Scottish Sprints at North Muirton, Perth. Class winners were:

There were seven Forth Valley winners at the 2014 Scottish Night Champs which took place at Kinnoull Hill, on the edge of Perth, on Saturday 15 February. Winners were:

Tom Ryan 1991-2013
Some of you may already have heard the sad and shocking news of the death this week of Tom Ryan at just 22 years old. Tom was a much-valued club member of Forth Valley over the past four years, and will be hugely missed - our thoughts are very much with his family for their loss.
Daniel Stansfield Podiums for GB at European Youth Orienteering Championships
Daniel Stansfield was selected to compete for Great Britain in the M16 category at EYOC 2013.
FVO Dinner Dance7-11.30pm
There are still tickets available for this year's Dinner dance which is on Saturday 16th November in the Victoria Halls, Dunblane. The evening will begin at 7pm with a drinks reception to toast our 40 years. We will then sit down to a three course dinner before dancing the night away to the Ceilidh
2013 and The Magnificent Seven!
Great news from the Forest of Dean where Team FVO have made it a fantastic seven wins in a row at the UK's national competition for small clubs, the Compass Sport Trophy.
Autumn Plans
Time has flown by since the summer holidays, and as the soup runs have proven, the evenings are getting very gloomy (actually dark) by 7.45. Time to dust off the head torch in preparation for the rest of the Autumn and Winter seasons.
FVO Celebrates its 40th Anniversary
Forth Valley Orienteers celebrated its 40th Anniversary this weekend with two excellent races, a small party, a little whisky and lots of cake at the FVO Fab at Forty weekend.
Gareth West Highland Way Run 2013
Congratulations to Gareth for becoming the oldest competitor to complete the West Highland Way Race in an outstanding time of 26:15:13. The day (starting at 01:00 on Saturday) had very mixed weather but at least there was not too much chance of heat exhaustion.
WEE Winners
Wednesday’s event at Abbey Craig was the last WEE of this season. The series winners were presented with their trophies and prizes. All the juniors that took part were presented with a goody bag provided by Run-4-It
Scottish Relay Championships
There were some more great performances from Forth Valley Orienteers at the Scottish Relay Championships on Sunday 26 May at Maxwelton Estate near Moniaive, Dumfriesshire.
Scottish Individual Championships 2013
There were some great results for Forth Valley Orienteers at this weekend's Scottish Orienteering Championships down in Dumfries and Galloway.
