FVO bid for world domination gathers pace!
Many congratulations to FVO's Brian Porteous, who was elected as IOF President at this afternoon's IOF General Assembly (held in Lausanne, Switzerland, in conjunction with this year's World Championships). You can read the details of Brian's nomination here
International Successes
Our intrepid club members are racing well all over Europe at the moment.
Harvester Victory
The FVO Team, consisting of Trevor Hoey, Marcus Pinker, Jon Marsden, Roger Goddard, Jon Cross, Jason Inman and Duncan Coombs, were victorious at last night's Harvester Relays. This year's, seven leg, overnight relay took place at Bordon Heaths, Hampshire.
British Championships
This weekend past saw the British Long Distance and Relay Championships being staged in the Lake District. Saturday’s Individual race was at Dalegarth and Sunday’s Relay at Helsington Barrows near Kendal.

Orienteering Championship Selections

So....four great days of orienteering at the JK this weekend are over - and with a range of impressive results from so many different FVO people, not to mention the great organisational effort on Saturday for which many thanks are due to David Nicol as day organiser. And as if that was not enough,
President’s Annual Report

British Schools Orienteering Championships
The British Schools Orienteering Championships took place recently at Beecraigs Country Park. A number of FVO juniors represented their schools at this event, which saw pupils from all over the UK take part.
