The Joy of Six
FVO athletes were in excellent form at the largest multi-day orienteering event in the UK as they won 12 medals including two overall titles at the Scottish Six Days event on Royal Deeside.
Lighting a Fire
Local orienteers lit a fire in a major holiday event in a brand-new area, with three amongst the overall medals and several more taking stage wins at the Coasts & Island festival in Shetland.
Solid from Scarlett
Forth Valley Orienteers youngster Scarlett Kelly was the latest local star to be involved in international action, and turned in a trio of solid races at the European Youth Championships in Czechia.

Two local athletes made a significant mark at the World Orienteering Championships in Finland, with one producing her best set of results and a landmark performance and another enjoying an unexpected return to the big time, nearly 20 years after her last championship race.
Hammond is Top Brit
FVO youngster James Hammond was in excellent form at the Junior World Championships in Italy, as fine set of results moved him up to third overall amongst all British men in the 35 years at the championship.
Four Horses at the A(lyth)pocalypse
FVO's juniors added a fourth consecutive Dala Horse to their trophy cabinet, as they successfully defended the Jamie Stevenson Trophy with a a strong team performance at Hill of Alyth.
Flyers Flourish in Finland
There were three FVO teams involved in the largest relay competition in the world, with the men coming home as the second British team in a race that was dominated by Scandinavians.
WEE are the champions!
There is a mix of new and familiar names on the WEE champions roster at the end of a memorable campaign, with four brand-new champs, three defending their crowns, two moving colour to top the tables and one regaining a lost title.
The Kids are Alright!
There was marked success for local youngsters as they claimed 17 individual and seven team trophies at the national schools festival at Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline.
Just Another FVO Week
There were a number of FVO athletes well placed in races of different dimensions right across the country over the weekend.
International Calls for FVO Five
Five FVO athletes are included in the Great Britain teams for the early summer internationals, and their number includes a dramatic recall for a forgotten hero.
Triple-Double for Flyers
FVO Flyers successfully defended its British title, and joined an elite band of teams to have done the JK-British double in the same season following the national relay at Bigland
British Championships - The Magnificent Eleven (plus one)
Fantastic day and some fantastic performance from FVO in the Lake District, as they left the British Championships at Grizedale clutching no fewer than five national titles on an 12 medal day – although the 12th one was late in coming.
Relay Records Shattered on 10 Medal Day
On a fantastic day of ten medals at the Scottish Relay Championships, Alison Cunningham became the most senior Open champion in recent history as she anchored the FVO Female Flyers to victory in the Women's Relay.
Bomb squad strikes at Barry Range
FVO checked out from the firing ranges at Barry Buddon and the 2025 Scottish Championships in the custody of a baker's dozen of national titles on yet another banner day for the club, with success right across the posse (numbering 98 on the day, or 20% of the entire event entry) from under 10 to ove
JK Relay - Leed(s)ing from the Front
A truly memorable Jan Kjellstrom International Festival of Orienteering came to an end for FVO today, as they left Yorkshire with seven more medals in the trophy cabinet after the relay at Middleton Park, Leeds.
