Five members of FVO have been selected to be members of the Scottish Elite Development Squad(SEDS) for 2011.
Club Training Athlete
Jon Cross was awarded the Club Training Athlete of the Year Trophy at an informal ceremony following the Night O on Wednesday.

There appear to be a couple of tools of the Routegadget format, but slightly simpler in that they only take account of tracks and not time to controls (in the way that Routegadget does).

Good press for the Trossachs WRE
I thought some of you might be interested to see this - our World Ranking Event at the Trossachs has featured favourably in two notable reviews covering the 2010 orienteering year.
Christmas Meal
This years Christmas meal will be held once again at the Sheriffmuir Inn on Thursday 16th December. In previous years, the hospitality has been grand, and the menu remains great value at £22.50.
Thistle Awards
Congratulations to Gareth, Jan and all the FVO and Tay members of the organising team for Tay 2009. The Six Day event has just been awarded a Thistle Award for tourism. The award came in the National Events and Festivals Category.
JEC 2010
Jamie Stevenson had a great run in the Sprints of the Junior European Cup held at St Andrew's on Friday - coming in second in the M18 class against some high class European competition.

Park World Tour
A great run by Tom Ryan, coming in 9th at the PWT Open Prologue at Scone Palace has led to Tom qualifying for the Elite final on Saturday. Good runs also from James Tullie, just a few seconds after Tom in 16:37, but running non-competitively, and for Ross Mclennan. Ross was unlucky to finish 16th in
VHI Selection
Congratulations to Hazel Dean, Kirsty Bryan-Jones, Gareth Bryan-Jones, Martin Dean, Ben Stansfield and Roger Goddard for being selected for the VHIs which are taking place in South Wales on the 2nd/3rd October.
